Many members of the team have developed their careers with O.L.D. Engineering. Section Grinding Leader, Mark Houghton, has spent the majority of his 25-year career at O.L.D. Engineering and has extensive knowledge of the companys products and capabilities.
Having witnessed the shift from the use of manual techniques to Computer Numerical Control (CNC) in precision engineering, Mark is now able to train and support new generations of engineers in all aspects of precision engineering.
Theres no doubt that digital techniques are more effective, with parts precision engineered to a tolerance of around 4 microns. To put that in perspective, thats 10 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair, Mark explained.
